Seeing strong women, femmes, non-binary humans and feats of strength, encouragement, skill and laughter all in one room is always a joy to behold.
I am both incredibly lucky and grateful to know so many talented folk, but when it comes to circus acrobats, I am really pleased that I get invited to rooms like this to watch people train, capture portraits and devise and play.
For over 15 years Mimbre have been providing a youth programme for young people in Hackney to help them learn to learn from each other, calculate risks and lift each other up, quite literally.
