Holding on to the pain as it is that final aspect of connection that we have.
Letting go was the hardest thing I ever did.
And I am sure it is a lesson it will still take me a lifetime to learn. But now that I see it for what it is, there is compassion mixed with freefall.
Nothing went wrong.
I was just a human guessing my best. And holding on to the familiar, even when the familiar was really painful.
Shedding these layers, I free myself like a caterpillar disintegrates and reforms to grow it’s wings.
I, too, reshape myself from the dust of shame, and rearrange my oldnew self back, as just a human once more.
